The Broward County Emergency Operations Center continues to closely monitor Hurricane Ike even though Broward County is not in the storm's projected track or forecast cone of error. As of Sunday morning, September 7, Broward emergency officials do not expect sustained tropical force winds to impact Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County. Rainy and windy weather conditions are expected to begin Monday afternoon with one to three inches of rain expected through Wednesday morning.
