GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - February 19, 2009 - Greater Fort Lauderdale is inviting meeting planners and groups to "Meet Chic" with the introduction of its new integrated meetings program. Featuring a new, eco-friendly e-guide, a large format destination guide and an email newsletter, Greater Fort Lauderdale makes meetings easy.
With 80% of meeting professionals conducting research and planning online, the GFLCVB meets the needs of planners with the web-centric Meet Chic program at www.sunny.org/meetings. The Meet Chic program e-guide gives organizers access to information on diverse meeting hotels, the 600,000 sq. ft. Broward County Convention Center, Plan.It.Green initiatives, images, sports, event venues and suppliers, all in one place. The meetings area of the Greater Fort Lauderdale website, www.sunny.org/meetings gives planners the opportunity to search hotels by specific criteria; map hotels and venues; and create and submit RFPs.
To provide meeting professionals with a true sense of the many opportunities for meetings in Greater Fort Lauderdale, the GFLCVB has integrated a large format (11" x 11") destination guide into this program. "This colorful guide, published by Miles Media, is intended to entice and visually showcase the destination to planners who may not be familiar with the area and reinvigorate those who haven't visited in a while, providing the perfect introduction to the new Greater Fort Lauderdale experience," said Nicki E. Grossman, president, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Designed to give busy organizers quick access to the information most important to them, a new e-newsletter will be distributed quarterly. This informative e-newsletter will keep planners informed about destination news while also providing information on special values for groups both large and small.
