GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - April 2, 2009 - As a special incentive for meeting planners, Greater Fort Lauderdale announces the launch of the new Sunsational Summer Savings Plan for summer meetings now through 2011.
The Sunsational Summer Savings Plan offers complimentary space rental at the Broward County Convention Center and a one-hour welcome reception including displayed and passed hors d'oeuvres and open bar for registered attendees. It also provides meeting professionals with a 10% discount on food, beverage, electric, security, telecommunications and audio/visual services contracted through the Center's exclusive providers, along with an additional 2.5% commission or credit to the hotel master account. The plan is valid for convention groups using a minimum of 750 rooms for more than two nights during June 15 - October 15, 2009, 2010 and 2011, and some conditions may apply.
"It is our goal to help make planning meetings and conventions in Greater Fort Lauderdale as seamless and affordable as possible," said Nicki E. Grossman, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. "We hope our new savings plan, together with the many destination deals available during the summer months, provides meeting professionals an added incentive to book their business with us."
