Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to brush up against fortune and fame? Perhaps maybe see sport icons that you spent your youth watching on Sundays with fellow sports nuts. Well members of the sports legion, these dreams can be accomplished as a NFL Host Committee volunteer in south Florida. I challenge anyone to top seeing Emmett Smith, Jerry Rice, a Billy Joel press conference, and Prince performance all in the same six hour shift. For knowledgeable sports fans I will call this part “the day game.”
However, as when the stadium lights go on, so does the magic of south Florida and the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl might be in charge during the day, but the talents of south Florida’s event planners execute a full-on blitz during the evening. Whether your taste is a three block sizzling South Beach party or a high class Gulfstream Race Track red carpet event, disappointment will be the only thing not on this evenings itinerary. Unfortunately, my rock star week will soon come to an end. So I bid you adieu as I plan Saturday’s recuperations tactics before the big game. As I reminisce on a Fort Lauderdale beach, I will think of what south Florida has to offer and has already offered in my short stay.
