Hello again, good friends in the blogosphere! This is Isabella, back with my best friend, Juliette. We’re writing a blog to help her little brother, Spencer, who began doing this blog. But now it seems Spencer is bored with blogging. Isn’t that right, BFF?

Juliette: Totally right, BFF!! But we’ve got some good stories to tell after our “staycation” on the beach. So we’re going to write this blog together again this week. Even if Isabella is the most famous writer around here! Teehee.

Isabella: Hardly famous, not yet! But let’s tell our blog fans about the best part of our ten days on the Fort Lauderdale beach. Because we met these two great guys, as we told you last week. Remember that? Jack and Brad from New York. They were staying at our hotel and now they’re visiting some uncle and aunt or something. So here is our romantic story: Because one afternoon they asked Juliette and me to go out with them. You tell the story now, J ...

Juliette: Oh, ok – even though you write so grown-up and everything and I don’t but oh well. Hahaha. Well, then Mom says it’s ok to go. I mean, with Brad and Jack. It wasn’t too far from the hotel. Just down Las Olas. And we got there and there was this long boat thingie and I never saw one like that before. Right, Isabella?

Isabella: Right, absolutely! It’s called a “gondola,” and they have lots of these in Italy. In Venice, I think. It’s just the most romantic boat you can imagine. All spread out in red fabric and seats for two and romantic music playing. So then tell them what happened next, Juliette.

Juliette: We got on this boat and Jack paid for the whole thing. Even though it was so totally a lot of money. Jack sits with Isabella and I sat with Brad and there’s not much room in those seats. SO totally tight! And then the boat driver guy heads this boat out on the river around Fort Lauderdale. And then … You tell, Isabella.

Isabella: It was really sunny and hot. So Jack takes off his shirt to sit in the sunshine. And he looks so good! Then Brad does the same thing. And he looks so good too. We are floating along the New River now and the guys are singing and laughing with us. And they put their arms around us after a while too. Right, J?

Juliette: I was really surprised by that. Kinda. I wasn’t too surprised. But I acted all surprised but I already knew they both really liked us and everything. Then you know what happens next? Here’s Isabella to tell you! Because this really DID surprise me – and her!

Isabella: It was a very romantic moment, girls! Or even you guy blog readers out there. Just picture floating in a lovely gondola down a tropical river, with a guy’s arms around his pretty girlfriend. Romantic music playing on the boombox. That’s what it was like. Then … Jack kissed me! I mean, like, REALLY kissed me! I wasn’t sure what to do. I felt like my head would spin in circles or something. But I just smiled. It was a really nice kiss too!! My best ever, so far …

Juliette: Brad didn’t kiss me like that because I’m maybe too much younger than him or whatever. I dunno. Oh well. It was fun watching my BFF get kissed.

Isabella: So we headed back to the dock and got out and just walked back to our hotel, holding hands. Brad and Juliette were holding hands too – and they looked pretty romantic to me. Haha, J! We went back to the hotel and went swimming there and it was the most incredible and romantic day of my life. So yes, you know Jack and I are still seeing each other, for sure. So are Brad and J. We go on lots of double date things to the beach and all over.

Juliette: And so that’s what a “staycation” did for us, girls and guys! We met two of the best guys around and now we just spend so much time together. I’m glad I get to blog about it too. With Isabella, of course! I don’t know if Spencer wants his blog back next week or what. But this is fun. Especially blogging with my famous writer friend.

Isabella: NOT famous! Not yet. Haha. But we still have lots of time before school starts and lots to do. So there will be more blogs and maybe more romantic stories to tell. Come back again next week, blog friends. Whatever happens, you just KNOW this blog will have the whole great story about it!! Have fun on your own great summer vacation too!! Bye!!

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Teehee. That was for my dorky brother, Spencer. He thinks I say awesome too much. Maybe I do but this really was awesome! I mean our awesome vacation on the Fort Lauderdale beach. At a hotel like only 5 mins from home.

But you know what else is “awesome”? My BFF, Isabella, is back to help me right a new blog about our vacation. Which is over now but was totally too much fun. So we’re going to tell you about it. Here she is, ok?

Isabella: Hi, everyone! It’s great to be back in the blogosphere. But, uhm, I think you mean we’re going to “write” a new blog, Juliette. Haha! Too funny! But it’s no biggie because you were just typing really too fast. Isan't that write, J? Uhm I mean, “right!” Haha again!

Juliette: OOPS!! Well, you’re the one who wants to be some big writer when you grow up, not me. :) Ok, it’s your turn to “right” now. All our blog lover will be happy to see you again. It’s been a whole year almost!!

Isabella: I read Spencer’s blog from last week and all I can say is, well, he’s still Juliette’s dorky younger brother. Even if he is “really old” because he’s 11 now! First, we didn’t really leave him alone for very long. Juliette and her mom and I went shopping on the Fort Lauderdale beach – for one hour. Not that long, right?

Juliette: Right! Spencer really is dorky! He doesn’t even want to write his own blog this week. That’s why Isabella and I are doing it for him. See what I mean? Dorky!

Isabella: Yes, well anyway, as I was saying, Spencer also was writing that I’m in love or something. How silly because I’m not. But yes, Juliette and I were hanging around with some older boys we met. They were really nice. They’re still in Fort Lauderdale. Jack and his best friend, Brad. They’re both from New York and will stay here until August when they go back to school. I enjoy them a lot, but I’m not in “love,” Spencer! Please!! I’m 14-years-old now and I’m too smart to just fall in love that way at this age.

Juliette: Wow Isabella, you seem like so grown up sometimes now. And you are more gorgeous than ever. Wish you could see her, blog lovers. Jack was totally dying to meet her so that’s why we met Jack and Brad. I think Isabella even writes her blog different than last year and everything. She’s gonna be a famous writer, for sure. I can’t wait til I’m 14 too and then I’ll seem more grown up maybe too.

Isabella: You’re only a few months behind me, girl! And you're totally gorgeous too!! But yes, I believe I would like to be a famous writer when I grow up. The funny thing is that blogging last summer made me know how much I love to write. So it’s so nice to blog again now, even if I’m only doing it to help Juliette. Who really is my BFF, for sure!

Juliette: Staying on the beach was so totally cool, wasn’t it Isabella? Hanging at the ocean and swimming with Jack and Brad and shopping. And staying in that super cool hotel!

Isabella: I’m so glad your mom wanted me to come with you, Juliette. I had a wonderful time. Thank you. It was our own “staycation.” That’s what they call it. I read about “staycations” in the newspaper. It just means that you go on a “vacation” where you “stay” somewhere near your home. See why they call it a “staycation”?

Juliette: I have an idea, Isabella. Why don’t we do one more blog about our “staycation” next week? Spencer won’t mind. I think he’s like already totally tired of writing a blog every week. But I think it’s kinda fun. Sometimes. So if you’ll help me again, Isabella ... Ok???

Isabella: Sure! It’s fun to blog again. So maybe we should save our best story about the “staycation” for next week, all right, Juliette? You know the one I mean, right?

Juliette: About our great boat ride with Jack and Brad, right? All alone, just us and the boat driver guy. Ok, next week for sure! Come back then, blog lovers, and we’ll tell you all about it. I mean we’ll “right” all about it. Teehee!

Isabella: Hahaha! See you then, blog friends! You won’t want to miss next week’s really romantic story about a very special afternoon with two great guys!! Until next time, bye for now!!

I’m mad!! This is Spencer again and I’m mad, ok? Hi anyway, but sorry cause I’m really mad!!!

Know why? Cause I’m all alone on the “gr8t” Ft. Lauderdale beach, that’s why! So I’m going to write this blog this week all alone cause like I’m all alone and everything now. Cause Juliette & Mom & Isabella are all having fun now but not me. I’m stuck in this hotel room. So I have to write this blog on Mom’s laptop. All alone. :{

We are staying in this great hotel and everything. Like Juliette told you last week in the blog, right? But Sunday was Isabella’s birthday and everything else. She is 14 now. But I still like her anyway, even if I’m only 11. So we came to this hotel on Sunday and that was her birthday. We had lots of fun and we all did fun stuff together all the time. We went swimming in our hotel pool. Juliette says it’s a “cool pool!” At least she didn’t say “awesome” again!

Then you know what else we did? We all had a big dinner Sunday for Isabella. It was fun. Lots of fun! We walked on the beach and we all had fun laughing and walking and stuff like that. No one left me alone. It was fun!

Know what else we did this week? We got ice cream and we got pizza and we got more ice cream. We went to our hotel pool like a lot. Like every day. Then we went to the beach sometimes too and that was the best. Cause we played Frisbee on the sand and we ran into the water. Mom even got a sailboat but just a little one. But we all went out sailing in the ocean. No one left me alone!

But now I’m all alone. Cause Mom says the “girls want to go shopping” and stuff. So I should stay here. But I can’t go swimming alone so I have to stay in the room and just like wait. Forever!! I should go swimming anyway but then I’ll get in trouble. So I guess I’ll wait. :(

Know why I’m mad too? Cause everyone acts like I’m some little kid and everything. But I’m 11 now and that’s really old too sometimes. But Mom acts like I’m a kid and Juliette too. And Isabella too and I really don’t like that cause I really like Isabella. She’s nice to me. But I don’t see why she likes these boys at our hotel and everything. Isabella and Juliette are like in love with these boys at our hotel. They are like 15 or whatever. Big wow cause like who cares, right? Why should I care about that? They don’t even live here or anything.

So anyway I’m mad, that’s all. I don’t know why they act like I’m some little kid and everything. I don’t know why Isabella likes these totally geeky dudes and everything!! I’ll still have lots of fun cause we are staying at this hotel for 10 days. So that’s like 4 more days. But right now I’m not having fun. I’m just mad cause I’m all alone!!! Sorry. TTYL!

July 3: Star Spangled Weekend

Pretty funny, right? I mean, “Star Spangled Weekend” and everything. That was my idea, not Spencer’s, by the way. In case my dorky little brother tries to take the credit. Right, Spencer??

Hi, it’s Juliette again. I’m back for another week of blogging. Except this week Spencer told me to write the blog by myself so I’m doing that now. Even though I don’t want my own blog every week or anything. But it was fun to help write Spencer’s blog last week. Anyway, here I am again, blog lovers!

So I know you must be wondering – what do I mean by a “star spangled weekend,” right? Well, I just mean it’s the 4th of July weekend. So like what is more “star spangled” than this holiday? Get it? Because of the national anthem and the star spangled banner and all the patriotic things and whatever.

I just know that Mom’s taking Spencer and me to see the fireworks on the Fort Lauderdale beach.Yay! That’s totally fun to see. I can’t wait! But you know what else? My best friend, Isabella, is coming with us so I know I’ll have fun. A lot more fun than just hanging out with my dorky brother all night. Sorry, Spencer. Haha! You know I love you, right?

We’re all going to the beach before it’s dark outside and we’re going to buy pizza or something like that for dinner. Then we’re going to sit under a pretty palm tree and watch the fireworks blasting in the sky all around us. It’s major major cool because they are so beautiful. I love fireworks in Fort Lauderdale. Then on Saturday, Isabella and I are going to the mall. It’s called the Galleria and it’s so nice and pretty there and they have so many great clothes and shoes and everything else. We’re going to ride the Sun Trolley there, just the two of us. So like it’s kind of like "the girls go shopping," right? Too much fun!

And I think we’re going to get some ice cream at the Galleria and Mom says we can have ice cream for dessert after the fireworks are over too. I mean, ice cream two times in one weekend is pretty great. Don’t you think so? Because Mom doesn’t let us eat too much ice cream or sweet stuff like candy that much. But sometimes she does. Like on this “star spangled weekend” – teehee. I love it!

Oh no. You know what? Spencer is standing here at my computer now and he wants to say hello. Yes, ok, Spencer. So I guess I’ll let him because I mean this is like his blog I guess. So here’s Spencer.

Spencer: Hi everybody! I just want to say hi, that’s all. I’m glad Isabella is going to go see the fireworks with us! That way I don’t have to talk to my sister too much. LOL! So have a good 4th of July and stuff like that. Ok? I hope so! That’s all. TTYL

Juliette: I’m back and I hope you have a good star spangled weekend too. Maybe you’ll see some fireworks like us. Or maybe you’ll go to the mall like Isabella and me. Or maybe you’ll do something else. I just know you’ll have lots of fun if you try. Because Fort Lauderdale might be pretty hot right now in the summer. But it’s still pretty cool too!! Hahaheehee!! Come back next week for another fun blog, ok? Bye!!!
