Transportation Options

Convention and group attendees have several options for navigating around town. Centrally located between Palm Beach and Miami, Greater Fort Lauderdale stretches from Deerfield Beach and Pompano in the north to Hollywood and Hallandale Beach in the south. The region encompasses 1,200 square miles that include 505,600 acres of Everglades on the western edge, and is home to 30 cities and 1.8 million residents. There are public transportation options for attendees not renting a car.

BAHAMAS EXPRESS
This high-speed catamaran styled ferry sails at a speed of 32 knots, and has the capacity to hold 463 passengers and 80 vehicles. Interested passengers may rent 5.4 ft. x 5.5ft Cargo Bins at a cost of $200 each. The Bahamas Express will depart Port Everglades at 10am, arrive at Freeport Harbour approximately 12:30pm, and will depart Freeport Harbour at 7:30pm, arriving at Port Everglades approximately 10:00pm. Round-trip pricing plus taxes: Economy Class $150, First Class $180, children age 6 and under travel at no charge. 

BROWARD B-CYCLE
Newest mode of public transportation. A bike-sharing system allowing you to check out a bicycle at a public bike station for a small fee and return it to another station when done. (954) 467-6822

BIKE BROWARD
Innovative Internet-based bicycle route planning tool that allows bicyclists to enter their start and end locations and receive turn-by-turn directions on how to reach their destination.

TRI-RAIL
A 67-mile commuter line links Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties, with free shuttles to the airport. (800) TRI-RAIL

WATER TAXI
Hop aboard one of Water Taxi's boats and step ashore at major destinations along the waterways, including Hollywood. More than just a boat ride, an all-day unlimited service pass is $20.  Bulk ticket packages and charters available. (954) 467-6677
