GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 7, 2013) --- The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a new video to promote a lighter, brighter side of meetings with a bold business attitude. The Meet Sunny video is part of the destination's 2013 Hello Sunny marketing and branding campaign.
Scheduled for release, March 8, the Meet Sunny video captures the light-hearted sophistication of Greater Fort Lauderdale and was inspired after working directly with a meeting planner advisory board and learning more about what is important to planners when considering a destination for an upcoming meeting or convention. In just under 3-minutes planners will discover the destination's accessibility, affordability, natural beauty, and the award-winning SUNsational service team at the LEED Gold certified, Broward County Convention Center. With the lowest travel-related taxes (according to GBTA), and home to South Florida's lowfare airport just 2 miles from the Lauderdale Convention Collection of six premier business-friendly hotels, Greater Fort Lauderdale "ticks all the boxes" on planners' check lists.
Taking meetings outside the traditional board room, the Meet Sunny video highlights the destination's many "sunny" attributes from innovative multifunction venues for teambuilding to arts and entertainment districts, to the 23 miles of Blue Wave beaches and miles of waterways.
"By going straight to the source for research and feedback with our meeting planners Customer Advisory Board, we were able to create marketing materials that deliver the story lines and imagery they need to share with key decision makers and shareholders," said Nicki E. Grossman, the CVB's president.
