"Every year, Community Marketing, Inc. undertakes a gay and lesbian travel research project to get a "pulse" on the community's travel patterns and the most popular destinations and services. This past year, the study found Fort Lauderdale to be the most popular gay destination in Florida, based on the number of gays and lesbians planning vacations there. Among the 1,500 gay and lesbian travel survey participants, 27% indicated plans to vacation in Fort Lauderdale in the coming year. This was ahead of Key West and Miami."
