How do I obtain my marriage license in Greater Fort Lauderdale?
Obtaining your marriage license is simple in Broward County.  You can pre-apply and print an online application to bring with you to any Broward County Courthouse locations.  The standard license fee is $93.50 and two forms of identification are required.  You do not need to be a resident of the county or state to apply for your marriage license in Greater Fort Lauderdale.  Click here for additional marriage license information.

Where can I have a beach ceremony?  Do I need a permit?
Restrictions vary depending on which of our eight Blue Wave beaches you choose for your beach ceremony.  There is no permit required to have your wedding ceremony on any stretch of Fort Lauderdale public beach.  

What can the CVB do to help me with my wedding?
The CVB serves as your FREE, one-stop shop for everything weddings in Broward County.  We are your concierge to the community and your Lauderdale liaison.  We can obtain hotel and venue proposals on your behalf, contact wedding vendors and services, or recommend a rehearsal dinner location.  We can arrange tours of potential wedding sites, set up pre/post wedding activities, or provide collateral for your guests.  It's your big day, relax!  Let us help. When is the best time to get married in Greater Fort Lauderdale?
Any time is the perfect time for a wedding in Greater Fort Lauderdale!  With an average temperature of 77 degrees year-round, the weather is always right for tying the knot.  Seasonally speaking, many couples find January - April to be the most ideal time to say "I do," and November is also a popular month for nuptials.  Of course, June is the traditional wedding month.

What unique venues are there other than hotels for my wedding?
From the seagrass to the sawgrass, you can choose year round park pavilions, yacht charters, country clubs, museums, and even underwater ceremonies. There is something to suit every wedding style.  Set sail on a yacht.  Declare your vows under the sea.  Get back to nature in a butterfly garden or alongside flamingos or at a swamp safari in a Seminole Indian Reservation.  Be artfully wed in one of our museums.
