Greater Fort Lauderdale Water Quality

Updated: March 11, 2020, 8:52 a.m.

Recreational water quality issues are of the highest importance to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, as is the health and safety of our visitors and residents. All inland waterways and beaches in Greater Fort Lauderdale are open and safe for recreational use.

Former water quality issues affecting some City of Fort Lauderdale residential neighborhoods never affected the 23-miles of Atlantic coastline beaches in Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Dania Beach.

For more information on water quality status visit the City of Fort Lauderdale news page or contact the 24-hour Customer Service Center at (954) 828-8000.

Show us how much you love enjoying our beaches and waterways by posting photos with #LoveLauderdale. Be sure to follow our social media feeds @VisitLauderdale and browse our image gallery on this page to see what our visitors and residents are up to on the water.
