Pembroke Park

The Small Town With A Top-Notch Location

Not that long ago, Pembroke Park was mostly made up of nurseries, quarries and mobile home parks. Today, as "The Small Town That Means Big Business,” Pembroke Park proudly maintains a thriving corridor for commerce and a peaceful community for its 6,000 year-round residents.

However, as soon as the leaves fall and thermometers plummet up north, Pembroke Park’s population quickly doubles!  The town is a big hotspot for Canadians fleeing brutal snowy winters, who make the city their home base for days, weeks or the full winter season.

Location. Location. Location.

Pembroke Park’s optimal location is one of its biggest assets. The city is just southwest of Hallandale Beach and Hollywood, minutes from world-famous beaches. It’s a quick drive to shopping, golf, tennis, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, diving, snorkeling, arts, culture and live entertainment.

In short, you’re close to all the best attractions and activities throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale that draw millions to visit and live here.

Enjoy the outdoors? “Park” is right in our name.

You’re never far from a park in Pembroke Park: there are four total: one in each corner of the city. Your best bet is Raymond P Oglesby Preserve, offering a walking and fitness trail, playground, picnic tables, BBQ grills, rentable pavilions and lots of shade. Other city parks include Ryan Park, Howard P. Clark Linear Walkway and Patrick Behan Park: most have similar facilities.

All that fun works up an appetite:

If you’re from the Great White North or just hanker for some French Canadian fare, check out Frenchie's Bar & Grill, a long-time local joint catering to Canadian visitors. It’s nothing fancy, but the Canadian/American menu, Canadian sports on the big screen and fluent French Quebec spoken makes snowbirds feel right at home. You’ll also find plenty of fast food and sit-down chain choices, as well as top-rated independent restaurants nearby.

Wallet-friendly stay

While Pembroke Park doesn’t have any hotels or chains within its town borders, there are value-priced vacation rentals, apartment rentals and RV parks. You can also stay in national lodging chains and independent hotels just 1-2 miles away.
