Sunny, it's gridlock out here
Lauderdale-By-The-Sea...

Blue skies overhead, my buddy Susan and I slip into our scuba gear and shuffle off the beach into the ocean. Divers-down flag in tow, we make the easy five-minute surface swim out to the first reef, just a hundred yards from shore.

We descend 20 feet, to a chaotic scene. Over to Bob, for the traffic report...

It's eight a.m. The locals rolled out of bed just two hours ago. But it's already bedlam. And still ten minutes before the traffic

Feb 6: Intern Learning the Ropes

It has been three weeks since I've started my internship at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Since I've been here I have learned a lot about how things work in the real world; especially in the fields of tourism, event planning, and hospitality. Which, for any undergraduate reading this, I must say is completely different from college life. In college you go to classes, have multiple breaks in between, hang-out with friends, go home in the middle of the morning, sleep all day, etc. It's a really laid back lifestyle you

The Royal Pig Pub has taken Las Olas by Storm - Open for lunch and dinner they are also featuring an outstanding value in the "Dine Out Lauderdale" menu from October 1 - Nov 7 2013.

Just as soon as we were seated outside... our waitress Denise appeared and took

Cafe Maxx Brings Tradition to Dine Out Lauderdale

~ Adventures of The Foodaholic

You know that when a restaurant has been around for 30 years and still packs the house, they're doing something right. My latest Dine Out Lauderdale adventure took me to Cafe Maxx, located at 2601 East Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach. A cozy, charming location exuding a warm, inviting atmosphere, Cafe Maxx is the kind of place where everyone is made to feel at home. As soon as we walked in, I noticed that the dining area was not only full, but guests from one table

Dine Like a King or Queen during Dine Out Fort Lauderdale
~ Andrea Richard, South Florida Gay News (SFGN)

Sure, Fort Lauderdale offers a vibrant and fine array of seemingly endless dining options. But the steep prices might compete with your champagne taste buds. While indulgence is costly, foodies can take advantage of Dine Out Fort Lauderdale, to save without compromise.

This dining promotion going on through November 7, offers diners specials on selected three-course menus at a fixed rate of $35. The deal is actually worth $55 or so per

Grille 66 & Bar Rocks Both Views and Food For Dine Out Lauderdale 2013

By The Foodaholic
October 17, 2013

For my second Dine Out Lauderdale adventure I headed up to Grille 66 & Bar, located adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel at 2301 Southeast 17th Street. The first few steps in, I was already enthralled with the panoramic views of the intracoastal waterway. Floor-to-ceiling windows and strategically placed outdoor seating provide guests with an unparalleled dining experience. The elegant yet inviting atmosphere is enhanced by the

Dine Out Lauderdale: Spazio, Fort Lauderdale Beach
By FL Keys Girl, on October 11, 2013

The folks at Dine Out Lauderdale invited me to dine at Spazio last night. Having never been there, I was excited to try it. (It also helped that the restaurant is on Fort Lauderdale beach and the weather was just about perfect - warm, with an ocean breeze). Once we conquered the parking situation (I really do need to get that app that you can pay with your phone...) we headed to the restaurant. Please excuse the red hue in all the photos - the neon sign was

Da Campo Osteria at the il Lugano Hotel - Dine Out Lauderdale

By The Foodaholic
October 12, 2013

After watching Letters to Juliet for the 53rd time, I started out my first Dine Out Lauderdale adventure for 2013 at an Italian restaurant that, while the food was not necessarily from Verona, it was from Tuscany, Rome and Florence, which in my romantic state of heart, was close enough. Da Campo Osteria, located at the il Lugano Hotel and Residences at 3333 NE 32nd Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, is a charming, elegant place with stunning views of the

Oct 9: Ireland's Steakhouse

Wednesday, October 9, 2013 10:46 AM by Guest Blogger

Bread, glorious bread!

We were recently invited to dine at Ireland’s Steakhouse in the Bonaventure Resort, as part of the Dine Out Fort Lauderdale program. I had never been to Ireland’s and have not been to the Bonaventure Resort in several years, so I was curious.

It was pretty quiet at the resort when we arrived, but everyone from the parking valet to the front desk people to the restaurant staff were extremely friendly. We instantly felt welcome, and were seated immediately. There were only a

Fort Lauderdale has many places to snag a juicy steak dinner for around $50 per person, more if you also get appetizers, drinks and dessert.

So why choose Chima Brazilian Steakhouse?

I'll give you 5 reasons:

1. CHIMA IS A COOL PLACE TO EAT: Chima is more than a meal, it is a Brazilian social ritual. Plus, it's got a cool atmosphere. Why not eat in a great looking place? The dramatic water and fire display greeted me and my CDC (cutie dining companion) before we passed under mammoth banyan trees and opened the door to the dining area. We were
