Rain is inevitable, so why not make the most of a rainy day? Believe it or not there is more to do than you think. You finally have a chance to relax! Or maybe take in a new film? What about visiting a gallery or museum or boutique? You shouldn't look at rain as a bad thing; look at it as a time to get ahead.

Whenever I hear the word rain, I think of a cup of warm coffee, a big comfy couch and my favorite movie. The rain always gives me a chance to slow down and relax. Sometimes we get used to moving at a non-stop pace. When the rain comes down let it be a reminder that you're in no rush, all you have is time. Enjoy the movie and your coffee or maybe even take a relaxing bubble bath. You can always catch up with an old friend or maybe invite them over for a game of scrabble (you can never go wrong with a board game).

If you're a go getter and would rather get out and explore, how about bowling? Always a fun bonding experience, Sparez in Davie has a Lightning Strikes Hour with a light and sound show!

Or check out a museum. The Museum of Discovery and Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale is always a fun place to explore. Ride on the Everglades Airboat Adventure, watch the playful antics of river otters, experience hurricane force winds in the Storm Center, or dig for fossils alongside a giant megalodon shark.

Feel the need for speed? Indoor go karting at K1 Speed is just the place to go! With two indoor tracks, karts are capable of speeds approaching 45mph! They also have high-grip racing surfaces which meet the highest standards for safety and performance.

Shopping! Who doesn't love to shop? Two of my favorite malls are nearby: Sawgrass Mills and Galleria Mall. Sawgrass has 350 designer outlets including such high-end brands as Armani, Prada, Gucci, Tory Birch, Michael Kors, Tommy Bahama, Juicy, and now, even a Barbie The Dreamhouse Experience. I always find the best deals on designer bags at Off Saks Fifth Avenue. Galleria Mall is near the beach, so don't pass up Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Coach and other stores definitely worth checking out.
