Presented in conversation with SNMA Executive Director Hunter O’Hanian, John Catania and Charles Ignacio will discuss their many years producing for In the Life, the LGBTQ public affairs series that aired on PBS stations for two decades from 1992 to 2012. The event is free, open to the public and conducted via ZOOM. Upon registering a link and password will be automatically emailed to you.

In the Life was the first and longest-running television series to present the real lives of LGBTQ people. The program brought informative discussion of queer issues and culture into America’s living rooms like no program ever did before or has done since. Included in this event will be footage from the first exciting minutes from June of 1992 when In the Life signed on and made history, and also clips from major LGBTQ events and memorable moments. Also included are scenes from a 2012 recap of 20 years of reporting in the final episode of In the Life.
