Overview

Celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with a program of unbridled virtuosity and orchestral splendor! Violinist Nicola Benedetti joins the leading orchestra of Scotland in a virtuosic display of Romantic masterworks, in its first tour of the United States, finally sharing with North American audiences the glorious sound that has won it so many fans at home. Conducted by music director Peter Oundjian, the orchestra plays the vivacious Overture to Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin and Tchaikovsky’s powerfully emotive Fourth Symphony—a sonic feast in a dazzling celebration.
