Spooktacular Events for Everyone Under the Sun

If you’re looking for thrills and chills this spooky season, look no further than Greater Fort Lauderdale. From family-friendly festivals and adults-only parties to free Halloween events for witches and goblins of all ages, here are some of the best things to do in Greater Fort Lauderdale for Halloween.

Halloween Events for Adults

For thrillseekers in search of a frighteningly good time, there are plenty of screams to be had throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale.

On select nights in October, you can purchase tickets to Davie’s The Haunt, South Florida’s largest Halloween attraction. Your evening begins with live music, chef-curated bites, and delicious themed cocktails before embarking on a terrifying walk through 500,000 square feet of natural forest. With four unique tormented trails—‘Florida Man,’ ‘Psycho Path,’ ‘Camp Carnage,’ and ‘La Bruja’s Graveyard’—you’ll have the heebie-jeebies for days.

Nightmare Village Xtreme Action Park

If you want to continue the frights throughout the month of October, check out Fort Lauderdale’s Nightmare Village at Xtreme Action Park, where you’ll encounter spooky strangers, killer clowns, and other freakish delights inside two new haunted houses—‘The Seventh Gate’ and ‘Carnival of Carnage.’

If you’re not afraid of what lies beneath the surface, South Florida Diving Headquarters is hosting a killer Halloween Dive on October 21 in Pompano Beach. There'll be an underwater costume contest and a pumpkin carving contest.

For a Halloween to remember, head to DAER Nightclub, located inside Hollywood’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on October 28. Don your most imaginative costume and lose yourself to the entrancing beats of the headline act, Claptone.

For those who love getting all dressed up, the 10th annual Wicked Manors block party is a fantastic option for your October 31 celebrations. Hosted in Wilton Manors (affectionately known as the gayborhood), this is the place to debut your wildest costume creations. Back by popular demand, this year’s theme is “Little Drive of Horrors.”

Free Halloween Events

Children will find an abundance of treats—and perhaps a trick or two—at the Halloween Hoopla event presented by the city of Tamarac. On October 20, there'll be activities galore, including music, arts and crafts, bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, prizes, candy, and more.

Pumpkins & Palm Trees event at The Loop

Looking for more family fun? Make your way to Las Olas Oceanside Park for the Third annual Pumpkins & Palm Trees Fall Festival. From October 20-22, families can celebrate the fall season with an inflatable corn maze, Halloween-themed photo stations, a children's arts & crafts CORNer, as well as three dozen food, art, and fashion vendors.

For the ghouls that just wanna have fun, Hallandale Beach’s Gulfstream Park is serving up eerie delights for guests of all ages with their Headless Horseman Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, October 28. Guests can expect both themed candy stations and ‘Carn-Evil Performers.’
