Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Jan. 4
This year’s kickoff was monumentally different than the rest. Oprah came to town. Presented by Weight Watchers Reimagined, her first national arena tour in five years was a wellness event with special guests who motivated and reinvigorated the audience.
Disney’s Aladdin: Jan. 8-19
You’ve seen the original and the remake, now see it live on the stage. The Broadway musical brings all the sights, songs, and characters to life with its enchanting story of survival, love, and friendship.
Holiday Hangover: Jan. 9
Keep the holiday spirit going for one more festive party hosted by the Historic Stranahan Museum. This annual event promises good food, good cocktails, and plenty of good fun. The home will be open for tours and for those who didn’t get exactly what they wanted from Santa, there will be exclusive silent auction items to snag.
Billy Joel: Jan. 10
The piano man himself will play at the newly unveiled Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s live music venue. With hits like “Uptown Girl” and “We Didn't Start The Fire,” this will be an unforgettable legendary concert.
For families with children and adults with autism, the museum is opening up early at 10 a.m. to allow everyone to explore in a welcoming and safe environment. As part of its monthly Second Sunday programming, this month’s theme, Happy New Year!, will allow visitors to enjoy postcard, calligraphy, and movement workshops.
Meat Loaf Presents: Jan. 12
Meat Loaf fans rejoice. His band, The Neverland Express, along with American Idol winner Caleb Johnson will perform all his greatest hits live on stage at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Trevor Noah: Jan. 18
If you’re a fan of “The Daily Show,” then you won’t want to miss its host live on stage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Expanding his “Loud and Clear Tour” to more cities this year due to demand, the comedian will surely be discussing his take on politics, international affairs, and current events.
Art Fort Lauderdale: Jan. 23-26
This isn’t your standard art fair. Guests are picked up in complimentary water taxis as they glide from one mansion to the next.
