Sleeping Beauty: March 1
One of the most treasured fairy tales comes to life via the Russian National Ballet on the Parker Playhouse stage with graceful ballerinas, Tchaikovsky’s classical music, fairies, and a little bit of magic.
Jimmy Johnson’s “Quest For The Ring” Championship Fishing Week: March 3-7
Anglers, get your gear ready! The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be the home base for the Jimmy Johnson’s “Quest for the Ring” Championship Fishing Week taking place within 112 miles of South Florida. Along with a two-day Billfish Championship at three different marinas, the event features a Celebrity Charitable Pro Am and an over-the-top closing party.
The Grammy award-winning saxophonist is bringing his contemporary jazz to the Parker Playhouse. Get ready to experience the acclaimed king of smooth jazz, who has been soothing us with his music for nearly three decades, live on stage.
Jeff Dunham: March 6
Talented ventriloquist and comedian, Dunham is bringing his team of puppets to the BB&T Center’s main stage during his newest international tour titled “Seriously!?” Laugh the night away with his comedic and sometimes inappropriate take on today’s current events.
FLL Fashion Week: March 11-14
Fort Lauderdale Fashion Week celebrates its sixth year with 15 shows hosted at various locations around town. Created to honor local designers, the show continues to spotlight them while inviting a few designers from around the nation to showcase their creations.
Bonnet House Concert Under the Stars: March 12 & 26
The Haller Foundation presents this music series that showcases the Lynn University String Quartet on March 12, and Sosos, an acoustic root instrument band, on March 26. Guests will have the opportunity to stroll the historic property with their choice of cocktail or wine before settling into their seats for the show.
Adam Sandler: March 13
The Waterboy himself is coming to the Hard Rock Live in his 100% Fresher tour. Sandler’s “100 Fresh,” which debuted last year on Netflix, was the comic’s first comedy special in 20 years. Join this hilarious actor, writer, and musician for a night of laughs. Please note, this show is recommended for mature audiences only.
Head to the Hard Rock Stadium for this annual festival celebrating diversity, culture, and art through music. Not limited to jazz, this year’s lineup includes Mary J. Blige, The Roots, Jill Scott, Kirk Franklin, H.E.R, and Charlie Wilson, along with many more.
Harry Connick Jr.: March 18
Get ready for an evening filled with romance as this talented star and musician performs songs from his newest album, “True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter” and a few of his personal classics at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival: March 18-22
Brace yourself for several days of the best food in the area with the return of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival. Back for a second year, the festival celebrates the local culinary scene with events centered around chefs, food, and drinks. FemAle Brew Fest: March 21
Highlighting female beer experts and brewers, FemAle Brew Fest is a day of fun for all craft beer lovers at the newly built Dania Pointe. Attendees can taste brews from over 20 local breweries and several visiting from out of state, all while learning about the beers from the makers themselves.
Florida Renaissance Festival: Through March 22
Mysterious magicians, whimsical fairies, brave knights, and a few jousting and artillery demonstrations await you at this annual event that takes place at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach. This festival, which offers something for everyone, will keep the entire family entertained for hours with its shows, international fare, and themed weekends. Get your costumes ready!
Disney on Ice: March 26-29
The kids will be cheering for all their favorite Disney characters as they skate onto the BB&T Centers ice rink. The exciting show featuring Disney’s most fearless and adventurous heroes and heroines is sure to have your kids dreaming big.
Chris Botti: March 29
Another jazz superstar hits the Broward Center stage this month. Botti, who has garnered jazz and pop fans from around the world, will perform his greatest hits.
Friday Night Sound Waves: Friday Nights
Fort Lauderdale Beach hosts a free music concert every Friday night. Check out a variety of sounds this month, from island reggae and ska to Afro-Cuban. The event also includes a Markers Market featuring local craft artists and a Picnic @ The Park with food and drinks sold by local restaurants
Florida Panthers: Throughout March
Cheer on your Cats with a slew of games this month. The Florida Panthers take on the Canadiens, Rangers, Senators, and several other opponents in the exhilarating and cool setting of the BB&T Center.
