We honor the men and women who have served our country with a memorial service, which includes military ceremonies such as, various honor and color guards; a military fly over; local dignitaries placing a wreath at the memorial, music and guest speakers.

Great American Beach Party
May 27: Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Blvd. 10am-8:30pm
Free. Live bands, kids zone, classic car show, sandcastle contest, art show, life-size beach games, U.S. military parachute team and a tribute to U.S. Armed Forces. Special performance: Sister Hazel. Free for all to enjoy.

Memorial Day KidzFest at Flamingo Gardens
May 27: 9:30am-4:30pm. A great day just for the kids! Enjoy the opening of the new, Lost World of Dinosaurs exhibit. Discover 27 life-sized dinosaur replicas nestled in the jungle setting of the Gardens. Kids can meet a paleontologist, take special guided tours, and enjoy bounce houses, entertainment, crafts, food and more. $19.95 ages 12+, $12.95 ages 3-11, members and children 2 or younger free. Narrated Tram Tour is included.

Undertow Music Festival
May 28: Pompano Beach Amphitheatre. 12-10pm
Alternative music festival will feature Grouplove, K.Flay, Milky Chance, Dreamers, Coin, The Unlikely Candidates and The Heydaze. Tickets: $30-$95 available on Ticketmaster.

Town of Davie: Memorial Day Parade & Service 
May 29: Orange Drive to Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4271 Davie Rd, Davie
Parade at 10am, Ceremony begins at 11am.

Deerfield Beach: Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony Honoring all Vets
May 28: Historic Butler House 380 E Hillsboro Blvd. Free concert follows ceremony. Noon-2pm.

City of Hollywood:  63rd Annual Fred Hunter Memorial Day Service
May 29: Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 6300 Taft St. Patriotic, traditional remembrance honoring veterans of all wars and veteran’s organizations.  Begins at 11am.

City of North Lauderdale: Wreath-Laying Ceremony
May 29: 10am. North Lauderdale Veterans Memorial, at Kimberly Boulevard and Rock Island Road in North Lauderdale. 954-724-7061.

City of Pembroke Pines: Ceremony
May 29: 9am-10:30am. Fletcher Art & Cultural Center/Fletcher Park. Presentation of colors, guest speakers and a wreath placing.  954-392-2116.

City of Plantation: Memorial Day

City of Tamarac: Ceremony & Honor Wall Dedication
