The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center is undergoing a $1 billion expansion. The transformed venue will be bigger and better than ever with1.2 million square feet of space, including 350,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space and a new 65,000 square-foot waterfront ballroom. Advanced technology will be integrated throughout the property, which will feature original dining concepts, enhanced water-taxi access and a brand new, expansive, open-air waterfront plaza with multiple group event spaces. Plans also include an upscale headquarters hotel interconnected with the Convention Center. Phase one with expanded exhibit space opens in October 2021 with full completion in 2024.
