getting around

Greater Fort Lauderdale is home to various - uniquely South Florida - ways of getting around. From self-guided bicycle riding to professional run land and water tours, vacationers and locals alike can enjoy discovering the area.

Interested in a new way to see it all? Board a Water Taxi to visit restaurants, shopping and other destinations along the Intracoastal Waterway. Las Olas Boulevard is the starting point for canal tours in authentic Italian gondolas tours along the "Venice of America."

- Sightsee and dine aboard the Jungle Queen Riverboat or other riverfront cruises.

-Ride the Sun Trolley through Greater Fort Lauderdale. There's an airport link, direct link to the Tri-Rail and to the Brightline passenger rail. Explore downtown Fort Lauderdale and the beach.

- Board the free Riverwalk Water Trolley - your free ride across the New River in Fort Lauderdale

- Two-wheel it with Broward County's new B-Cycle bike sharing program, which lets riders from Hallandale to Pompano Beach access public bicycles for short trips around town. Onboard GPS tracks mileage, calories burned and carbon offsets. Register online.

-Explore downtown Fort Lauderdale, take an eco-tour through Hugh Taylor Birch State Park or take in the ocean views as you ride on the Hollywood Broadwalk - via a guided segway tour with Segway Fort Lauderdale.
