São Paulo, Brazil (April 29, 2014) -   A typical  weekday morning on Avenida Paulista became a swirl of song and dance with HELLO SUNNY performers brightening up the work commute this morning.  Hundreds of Paulistas were able to experience the warmth and rhythm of the sunny beaches of South Florida as the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) took center stage with a series of destination flash mobs.

"We want Brazilians to know that Fort Lauderdale is the ultimate vacation destination.  It offers the perfect combination of playing, shopping and relaxation," said Nicki E. Grossman, president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.  "We chose to carry out our message with flash mobs as a way of sharing the "happy" vibe that awaits visitors upon arrival to our sun-kissed shores.

Forty Fort Lauderdale dancers and enthusiasts performed to a choreographed routine to Pharrell Williams's song Happy.  The purpose of the performance was not only to find a creative way to share the HELLO SUNNY sunshine, but also raise awareness of everything Greater Fort Lauderdale has to offer its visitors:  from luxury resorts to a plethora of shopping options; family-fun attractions to an array of tantalizing cuisine and nightlife experiences; rich cultural and musical opportunities to being home to Port Everglades, a cruise ship capital.

Three flash mobs took place on São Paulo's Avenida Paulista in front of MASP, Shopping Center 3 and Gazeta Building.   Onlookers received free Greater Fort Lauderdale sunglasses and had a chance to win a Shop and Beach Getaway to Florida by going online to www.sunny.org/hellobrasil to register, as well as discover the destination's vacation offerings.

Aside from the flash mobs, HELLO SUNNY also shared the warmth around Sao Paulo with the "Shop and Play Beach-on-Wheels Mobile" which drove around the neighborhoods in the city like Haddock Lobo, Oscar Freire, Jardins, Alameda Santos, Moema and Pinheiros branded with destination messaging and filled with Fort Lauderdale's shopping options like Sawgrass Mills, Macy's, Las Olas Boulevard and Galleria Mall.
