Head for the outlets, malls and flea markets and pay no sales tax (savings of 6%) on the following:
• Clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $100 or less per item (including wallets, handbags, backpacks, fanny packs and diaper bags but excluding briefcases, suitcases and other garment bags; excluding watches, watchbands, jewelry, umbrellas, skis, swim fins, roller blades and skates)
• School supplies for $15 or less per item (including pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, notebook filler paper, legal pads, binders, lunch boxes, construction paper, markers, folders, poster board, composition books, scissors, cellophane tape, glue or paste, rulers, computer disks, protractors, compasses and calculators)
• Personal computer or related accessories on the first $750 of the sales price (including any electronic book reader, laptop, desktop, handheld, tablet, or tower computer but does not include cellular telephones, video game consoles, digital media receivers, or devices that are not primarily designed to process data).
