The Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society has dedicated to preserve the lighthouse and make it available to the public for viewing. The Hillsboro lighthouse shuttle boat leaves the Sands Harbor Hotel dock each hour from 9am-2:30pm. Park in the public lot across from the hotel. The only access to the Lighthouse is via shuttle boat.
