Directions to our offices:
The GFLCVB office is located at 100 E. Broward Blvd, in a two-story building, and directly west of the Corporate Center building. The GFLCVB office entrance is located on the east side of the building, between Broward Blvd and SE 1st St, parallel to the BBT Bank drive-through.  Metered parking is available on SE 1st St or directly across the street in the City Park Mall Garage.

 

Mission
Created by the Board of Broward County Commissioners in 1987, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) is a governmental agency funded by a portion of the five percent (as of July 1, 1996) tax on hotel rooms. The 38-member staff of the GFLCVB promotes the Greater Fort Lauderdale area as a premier year-round leisure and meeting destination.

Marketing Communications
Francine MasonThe Marketing Communications Division helps generate positive media coverage for Greater Fort Lauderdale by arranging media tours, creating news releases and a range of publications including the Vacation Planner, Visitors Map & Events Calendar, Superior Small Lodging Directory, Meeting Planners Guide, CVBuzz e-newsletter, plus an extensive audio visual library.  The department oversees all interactive marketing, including the sunny.org website and is responsible for the creation, production and placement of the destination's tourism advertising. The department also handles community outreach emphasizing the importance of Broward's hospitality industry. .
